The Russian national team has had its second victory in the Athletics World Championship's medal standings. The Russian sportsmen won 17 honors (7 gold, 4 silver and 6 bronze medals). The second place was taken by Americans, the third one - by Jamaican athletes. It was back to 2001 when our sportsmen managed to occupy the first rank in the table.

JSC "Rosinterbank" announced the year of 2013 as the one for youth policy and sports. Within the framework of the declared program "Sport without Borders!" the financial support was provided to Olympic champions, silver and bronze medalists in their preparation for the Athletics World Championship. Among them you may know Anna Chicherova, the Russian high jumper, the Olympic champion 2012, Svetlana Shkolina, the Russian high jumper, bronze holder of Olympics 2012, Natalia Antyukh, the Olympic champion 2012 in 400 m hurdling, Elena Sokolova, silver medalist of Olympics 2012 in long jump, Evgeniya Kolodko, the Russian shot putter, silver medalist of 2012 Olympic Games.

Bronze medal in the 2013 World Championship is a great success in sports, but the major item as Anna has fairly noted is that the gold medal has been won by the Russian girl. Svetlana Shkolina took the first place in the Championship and set her personal record, having succeeded on 2.03 m.
