During NBJ interview the head of Raiffeisenbank CJSC administrative department Renat LOTFULLIN told about the implementation of CompanyMedia electronic document management system by the bank.

NBJ: Tell us about the relevance of EDMS implementation: what were the bank issues?

R. LOTFULLIN: Raiffeisenbank development demanded electronic document management system implementation solving a series of issues. First of all we needed to reduce paperflow and non-organized electronic docflow for all business lines. Secondly, we needed centralized registration, scanning, distribution and keeping of incoming and outgoing documents. Thirdly we needed the management of protocol, errand and incoming letter and state body request execution. Finally, we needed a common document database (protocols, letters, orders, contracts).

NBJ: Why did you choose InterTrust company and the product of CompanyMedia?

R. LOTFULLIN: We were making our decision on the basis of several criteria. The main criterion concerned the bank use of a world class powerful platform IBM Lotus Domino.

I would like to emphasize the fact of several Lotus-based systems existence. And we chose CompanyMedia product made by InterTrust company because of few reasons. We liked the functional completeness of the product, the workability within geographically distributed system, its flexibility for possible upgrades by our internal resources and the most important factor concerned the successful implementation experience of CompanyMedia by large Russian banks.

NBJ: What are the most interesting automated processes among other ones?

R. LOTFULLIN: I would like to pay attention to registration process and incoming docflow control which is very important for the bank. A lot of bank work is connected with registration and processing of state body requests. Sometimes the docflow amount reaches a thousand letters per day. Each letter has its own terms and the ways of execution. In the case of non-execution or delay the bank may be fined by state bodies. That's why it is very important for us to automatize finally the process completely within CompanyMedia system.

NBJ: What are the implementation results?

R. LOTFULLIN: Information flows are processed quicker, the waste of working time reduced and the effectiveness increase of business processes by the bank. And also employee work discipline augmented.

NBJ: What are the further plans for the system development?

R. LOTFULLIN: We are planning to spread the system to our regionl affiliates, to adopt such CompanyMedia modules as Mobile workplace and Standard and regulatory documents and also work automation module concerning the bank administrative committees.

Before making any further step in the development we closely evaluate the market and look for the chances of our personal internal developments.

I would like to note that we intend to develop the bank management docflow with InterTrust company and within CompanyMedia system.
