Universal Platform for Payment and Information Services

Found in 1999, Intervale has become the first-ever in Russia to develop and implement support technologies for customer bank account transactions via SMS notifications. It was Intervale jointly with Sberbank of Russia to have first launched this service in the market. Leading positions enable the company, besides the development of its core business, to actively participate in public discussions of the promising ways of the industry's development, and allow in the nearest future to promote the technologies with high consumer potential.

To date, Intervale is a member of Mobey Forum Association (international nonprofit organization in driving global ecosystem of mobile financial services) and a member of the ITU-D (International Telecommunication Union, Telecommunication Development Sector). Intervale's experts as part of the delegation of the Russian Federation take active part in the development of the ITU Standardization Sector as initiator and developer of security standards for mobile transactions recommended by the International Telecommunication Union. A representative of Intervale acts as a cofounder of the International Advisory Board for "m-Powering Development" project, an initiative of the ITU Telecommunication Development Bureau to increase the use of mobile technologies in education, health, banking and other fields that foster social and economic development in rural and remote areas. The company is a member of the state public association RANS (Russian Association of Networks and Services) and "Skolkovo" IT cluster.

Intervale's solutions in mobile and remote banking services have been originally developed for end-users of information and payment services. "MTS-Pay" and "MegaFon - Mobile Payments" are the projects successfully implemented by the company to prove this statement. In 2012, Intervale has become the operator of the MasterCard Mobile services offered by MasterCard. These services provide convenient and secure payments, purchases and money transfers using MasterCard and Maestro bank cards via mobile interfaces and web-based interfaces.

Intervale is actively developing solutions based on contactless payment technology, using various sources of payment. The country's first-ever mobile NFC payment was made with the direct involvement of our company, when the technology itself only started to be discussed. Intervale jointly with Nokia, Visa International and the Bank of Moscow have successfully implemented the pilot project on Moscow subway fare payments made with a credit card bound to the mobile application. Owing to company's cooperation with CJSC "MegaFon", subway passengers in St. Petersburg can make mobile fare payments using their personal accounts through RFID tags installed in the subscriber phone.

The main activities of Intervale Group of Companies include the development of innovative solutions for remote banking transactions in open telecommunication networks to support information interaction of all payment process participants. Implementation of these objectives is performed as part of the development and support of Intervale's own universal information and payment platform. A distinctive feature of the platform is its universality and equal opportunities for all parties: financial institutions, payment services, merchants and end consumers. Thus, the payment process scenario clearly defines the position of each player depending on the nature of provided services and business strategy implemented by the company. Intervale's portfolio includes a number of major projects implemented in the field of remote information and payment services for Sberbank of Russia, Bank of Moscow, Gazprombank, Promsvyazbank, Raiffeisenbank, Renaissance Credit Bank, OTP Bank, ROSBANK, Halyk Bank, and others.

Security of payments is a cornerstone in the architecture of the remote information and payment services developed by our company. It is important to emphasize that Intervale's solutions and technologies are PA DSS and PCI DSS certified. The company uses 3-D Secure technology and develops e-commerce solutions (ACS, MPI) certified by MasterCard and Visa.

Apart from its operation activities, Intervale owns R&D center which conducts researches in software technologies. In particular, a universal authentication system is being actively developed, which will enable consumers of e-mail services, social networks, online banking, e-commerce and other online services to use these services through a single access point. This will allow users not to invent, remember and change their authorization data for each and every communication channel. The system's mechanism reliably protects the user's personal data and excludes its being compromised.

As a payment services operator, Intervale provides the end users with convenient and secure tools for making payments, money transfers, and obtaining relevant information services. Intervale offers its partners innovative and efficient implementation and support technologies for payment process. This business area, which includes further development and service support of mobile and e-commerce solutions, is a priority for our company.

Intervale's plans include further evolution of universal Information and Payment Platform for the benefit of the entire information and communication ecosystem: financial institutions, mobile operators, online and offline retailers, social networks, gaming platforms, merchant aggregators, White Label partners, and end users. We strive to expand the range of communication channels with the consumer within a single technology platform through integration of USSD services, Flash SMS, e-mail and harmonization of management for all these communication tools, together with traditional information sharing methods.
